Rich Hall's Fishing Show
Show 1: Travel
Rich Hall's Fishing Show was mainly filmed on location in The Trossachs in Scotland
and unlike most fishing programmes Rich and Mike didn't actually catch any fish.
However they had plenty of time to discuss the important issues of the day, such
as Britain's complete inability to create a working transport system. During
their time in the Trossachs they met various characters such as a failed business
man called Charles Manson who lives in a caravan by the side of the Loch and
whose main problem in life is that he also looks like the real Charles Manson.
Rich and Mike also find time during their fishing trip to Scotland to interview,
on their boat, the graceful betting guru John McCririck.
Show 2 : Love
The issue occupying the boys' minds was men's seeming inability to understand
the real meaning of 'love'. During their time in the Trossachs Mike met a morose,
talking, severed head, once known as Bobby the Chauffer who can't disguise
his love for the American band Boston.
Rich and Mike also interviewed feminie icon and intellectual Germaine Greer
about her personal experiences of love and marriage.
Show 3 : Freedom
Rich and Mike invited Uri Geller onto their boat - he spent his time protesting
that he should be known for so much more than just spoon-bending.
Show 4 : The Olympics
The boys discussed whether there really is any point in London's bid for the
Olympics and if Hackney can ever be glamourous enough to be a serious rival
to Paris. Rich and Mike also interviewed the founder of the Body Shop Anita
Roddick.
Show 5 : God
Helping them discuss the issues around religious beliefs and what God actually
looks like, was the magician Paul Daniels with his enlightened attitude to
religion.
Show 6 : We Can't Afford To Do The Show
Rich and Mike had plenty of time to talk about the fact that they hadn't been
given enough money to do a proper fishing show. Mike becomes increasingly
troubled when Rich won't tell him which celebrity they're interviewing on
the boat now that Justin Timberlake has decided he's too busy.
